BRIAN S. CASSIDY
As a performer with Okkervil River, Brian S. Cassidy has appeared in The New York Times and Rolling Stone; on air with NPR, the BBC, and RadioFrance; and on television with MTV, the Australian Broadcasting Company, Austin City Limits on PBS, and NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Brian has contributed to Okkervil River's last 7 recordings as an instrumentalist and/or as arranger of string and horn parts. Okkervil River's releases have appeared on Billboard's top 100, and in 2007, Harp magazine declared Okkervil River's The Stage Names as the #1 album of the year. He has performed in nearly all 50 states and over 20 countries. After taking an extended break from touring to spend time with his family, Cassidy has returned to public music with fine debut of his own. Alpine Seas was recorded with just 2, sub-$100 mics and an 8-yr old computer, and all instruments were performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Cassidy himself.
